The normal coloring of the Winter White Dwarf hamster is a dark-grayish brown over the top of the body. The tips of the hairs are black, and the roots are dark grey, almost black. Along the spine is a thick jet black dorsal stripe which tends to be slightly wider between the shoulders. The belly is white in color with mid-grey roots and the white extends up the sides and three arches are present along each side between the belly color and the color over the back. These arches, particularly the arch nearest the head, are defined by a concentration of dark grey, almost black hairs. Within the actual white arches there are also usually some grey/black hairs. The eyes are black and the ears are dark grey.
The normal coloring can be combined with the pattern mutations to produce variations such as Normal Pearl and Normal Imperial. |

Along the spine is a thick soft mid-gray dorsal stripe which tends to be slightly wider between the shoulders. The belly is white in color with light gray roots and the white extends up the sides and three arches are present along each side between the belly color and the color over the back. These arches, particularly the arch nearest the head, are defined by a concentration of darker purple-gray hairs. Within the actual white arches there are also usually some purple-gray hairs. The eyes are black and the ears are dark gray.
