This site was put up in order for people to have a one-stop shop where they can find information about hamsters like the five species of hamsters kept as pets and how to care for them. The purpose of this site is help people understand the basic needs and equipment needed to successfully keep healthy, happy hamsters.
For more experienced keepers, this site also showcases the variations in color, coat types and coat patterns of the different species of hamsters. And breeding information is also available here including lethal and genetically bad combinations to avoid. Our goal is to prevent unsound genetic mutations and combinations by being constantly on the lookout for newly discovered lethal mutations and spread information on how to avoid them.
